My installation art displayed at the National Art Center, Tokyo.(2008)
Stone circles are ancient ruins and are found worldwide.  In Japan, they are mainly found in the north. There are various theories as to the role of stone circle.  Large ones are said to have been used as a place of ritual.  Maybe they were the place where humans once communicated with gods in heaven.

The origin of Shintoism is nature worship, and in ancient Shintoism rocks were a subject for worship.

In this work, I arranged 16 photos of stone, set in a circular pattern, with a mirror in the center of the circle to express a descending place for gods, and a place to communicate with heaven.
